'Gold Diggers' in Our Society

For the record, I am NOT talking about Kanye West's rap song.
There's the Optimist, Pessimist, realist and then comes the Opportunist (a.k.a the Gold Diggers). We like to think our Asian women are less materialistic & demanding than Western ones. The reality is however, quite different. Just look at our society in the Indian subcontinent: most parents prefer their daughters getting married to someone based in a first world country over a local "candidate". Just because a girl is pretty (even if she is insecure and has zero personality, & is a nuisance & a pain in the arse), she thinks she is entitled to the very best in the world. It is very hard to feel sympathy for gold diggers in our society, but the way our society is structured, the gold digger always progresses in life, whereas the fiercely independent and secure woman always treads her own path in life, never fully appreciated by society.

Our society is brimming with women who'd much rather lather themselves in make-up from head to toe, have a sorry excuse for a career and have their intellectual prowess extend very little beyond 'Novels' and a good command of the English Language.

This sums up things pretty nicely.

Why I Hate Pakistani/Indian Talk-Shows

I hate talk-shows in general but I hate Pakistani/ Indian talk-shows even more. All I find when I flick the TV on is annoying talk shows. These talk shows give rise to other talk shows that are later talked about on other shows… and the cycle goes on and on. Your watching the same goddamn thing over and over again.

You must have noticed on that boring Sunday afternoon when you have nothing better to do and you have the TV remote in your hand, you start flipping through channels, browsing for something that sparks your interest. But all you find is a bunch of people making a mockery of them selves. One guy is screaming his guts out to get his point across, one's blabbing away like a maniac and one guy calls out all the shots and makes snide remarks throughout the show.

One-way discussions that don't have any conclusions (as there too busy yapping away, to make any real sense).
Here's an example (Even if you're not Pakistani and can't understand what they're talking about, judging by all the commotion there making, it's safe to say that this really isn't worth wasting your sunday morning in)

Yes, I know all that Bitch-slapping seemed awesome, but mostly just a bunch of blabbering mongrels.

Twitter Banned in Pakistan....again

Not Again.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan blocked the social networking website Twitter on Sunday because it refused to remove material considered offensive to Islam, said one of the country’s top telecommunications officials.

Using their logic, they might as-well ban Google for containing anti-muslim content. This is ridiculous, it's not like banning twitter will stop people from posting anti-muslim content. These politicians and mullah's don't even know what's Twitter all about or how these sites even work, just ban them all. Instead of seeing the good in sites like these, without even giving it a second thought they think it's a good idea to ban them. A lot of over-hyped nonsense.

First YouTube, then Facebook, then Facebook again and now twitter. And it's always for the same goddamn reason (Blasphemous content). Just wait a week or 2 and the ban will be over-turned. The point? nothing.

I can't even get twitter to work on a smart-phone app and nor is Hotshield working properly.
The government's just a bunch of pompous pricks if you ask me.

UPDATE (21/5/12 ):
Twitter's back online barely a day after the so-called 'ban'. Glad to know there's at-least some hope left in this world.

Running Out Of Ideas (July 2012 Update)

Note. I'll also be making a new write for 'us' (technically, me) section for this blog in the next few days in which any of you can write Guests blogs and contribute to this site.

Ok guys, a quick update. I'm running out of ideas. Since I'm not one of those bloggers who just copy-paste everything and make original content; it's gonna take time to make posts and well, you know the saying......"quality's better than quantity". I guess I have a case of 'Blogger's block', plus there not enough things/people pissing me off these days.

Norway killer says he was a subject to Racism

Note. this post is taken from my previous blog (which has now been deleted) just thought this needed sharing.

And that no-one would call him insane if he were a 'bearded jihadist'.
Now, I'm not a fan with agreeing with what Mass-Murderer's say but he has a point.
Killer Anders Behring Breivik told a court Monday that questions about his mental health are part of a racist plot to discredit his extreme anti-Muslim ideology.Mr. Breivik, who has admitted to killing 77 people in a bombing and youth camp massacre, said that no one would have asked for a psychiatric examination had he been a “bearded jihadist.”

Sure, so if a white, nationalist Skin-head kills 77 people for a racially motivated reason, HE'S INSANE, CONFUSED CRAZY! I wonder if a Brown, bearded mullah would get the same treatment.
He goes on to say:

“But because I am a militant nationalist, I am being subjected to grave racism,” he said. “They are trying to delegitimize everything I stand for.”

Mr. Breivik rejects criminal guilt for the rampage on July 22, 2012 saying the victims had betrayed their country by embracing immigration.

Even the defence admits there is virtually no chance of an acquittal, so only thing left to determine is if he's  'crazy' or not.

Earth Hour In Pakistan

Note.  This was a post I made in my previous blog before I switched platforms, just thought I'd re-post it.

Why bother turning off the lights?  In countries like Nepal, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan and India; daily there is 4-12 hours of load-shedding varying on the situation each-day.

What is Load-Shedding you say?  The act or process of disconnecting the electric current on certain lines when the demand becomes greater than the supply.  Or in other words, a cruel, sadistic way for the government to piss off it's citizens.

For those of you who don't know what KESC is, it's the company that supplies Karachi with electricity.

All This Pseudo-Inspirational Bullshit On Facebook

If you're like me and get pissed off by all this bullshit, read on. If you are what I would like to term as an 'emo-ass bitch', stop reading and go listen to your depressing punk-music or something.

You see this all over Social Media networks, spreading like wild-fire. People posting 3-12 quotes a day (that they copied from the internet) like there a bunch of goddamn philosophers.

An example:
"I doNt haVe an Attitude Problem. I juSt havE a PersoNAlity u CAnT HAnDle!"
Yeah, and I have a fist, can you handle that?

And the lyrics, don't get me started on THOSE. Oh, so you're living 'Young, Wild and Free', Guess what? I don't give a rats ass. And then when you comment "What are you talking about?", they're like "loooolll, you dumbass those are the lyrics of wiz khalifa's song" like the whole goddamn world should know the lyrics of every song you listen to.

All this retardation, makes a person lose hope in Humanity....

Why Is Pakistan Lagging Behind?

Why is Pakistan lagging behind THIS bad, despite having many hardworking and smart citizens?

I think there are several other overbearing personal traits which people from sub-continent are lacking(As India / Bangladesh / Sri Lanka have been lagging as well, when compared to rest of the world). It might be a bitter pill to swallow for many but we overemphasize on what we perceive is our culture and values, which include some good and some not so healthy traditions. We have left behind what forms the backbone of our economy, in the lure of management and IT / CS degrees. How many high aptitude individuals opt for a course in agriculture for example??

One simple area would be womens employment. I know for sure it would come out to be lowest in the world, which simply translates to almost 40% of our citizens baing non-productive and just managing homes. Another example would be. if a study is conducted on the age when you get your first salary. We have this philsophy - First we need to study and then work, whereas if we start working early it is much easier to identify the interest areas.

In studies we have what is termed as "Herd Mentality". MBA is the in thing now, BE in IT and CS was earlier. Student does not ever know what will he be facing in the real world and real work place.

There are many such reasons like the fact that we are constantly living in shadow of our parents. Protected unnecessarily, but somehow that is what we perceive our culture to be about.

THAT and the fact that weak infrastructure and corruption is taking billions away from the our economy is taking a serious toll on our growth and future.

Among non-industrialized countries, Pakistan is a normal country (e.g. average standard of living). The jump from a third-world country to a newly-industrialized country is difficult. It takes hard work and time. However, it will eventually happen.

What Grinds My Gears

Note. If your wondering, yes the title is an reference to Family Guy.

Now, there many things that piss me off (some more than others). For some strange reason I feel this compulsive urge to put out all my anger and frustration for the whole world to see, so I compiled this list.

What Grinds my Gears:
  • Fat-ass annoying bitches who think the world revolves around them.
  • Bitchy Pricks who think their posh and shit when in-fact they've got the same wit and intellect as a drunk Hobo.
  • The fact that pizza arrives at your house faster then the police does.
  • How people worship celebrities (If you're on Twitter, you know what I'm talking about) and 'thank' them for everything and giving their life 'purpose'. Bitch please, you should be thanking your parents.

Life is Getting Monotonous.....

It's the same old routine over and over again. Wake up for school, check my email, take a shower, leave for school, come back, check email and Facebook, take a shower (Yes, I take two showers a day). Eat food, internet and occasionally do my homework. I've been following the same routine for the past 2 years (During vacations, it's just internet and a bad case of insomnia). After this, it's college, University and then work till you die. Oh, the joy.

Sometimes I stay awake all-night not knowing what to do. I feel this empty-ness. If it weren't for the Internet, what would I be doing? Nothing, that's what.

Now, before you start thinking that I'm some nerd with no life and a face, covered with acne; I'm not. I have friends, I'm never alone in recess. It's just that, my insomnia has gotten worse, this restlessness. These sudden head-aches I keep having. There some days I feel like just lying down on my bed and not do anything, just think. No internet or just blankly starting at the ceiling (Like I do when I'm not 'motivated' enough to do my homework), Just deep, thoughts like a some philosopher high on wisdom...

The Switch from 'Weebly' to 'Blogger'.

It's only been a few hours since I've joined 'Blogger' but hey, first impressions count as much as last impressions.

Well, to start with; the 'Weebly' interface was ALOT more easier and less complicated than 'Blogger'. It's fast, simple and effective. Though, with it's lack of options to tweak your site and small number of templates made it something short of greatness.

If you're looking for a simple, easy way to start a blog, go for 'Weebly' though, if you want more customisation, better integration and better-looking templates go for 'Blogger'.

And if you're wondering why I opted for 'Blogger' it was because I wanted a greater variety of options (though, all these options are giving me a headache) and the constant nagging of a friend to join 'Blogger'.

And oh, since 'Weebly' doesn't have the option to export your blog Posts,
Here begins the long and tedious process of manually copy-pasting all my blog posts from my 'Weebly' site.

*sigh*

Bored Out Of My Wits

It's 4 am, I've got some left over pizza on my right and a mountain of empty soda cans on my left and like the title of this post says, I'm bored out of my wits.

I haven't been this bored and antsy and lazy in...a very long time. I have nothing worthwhile to do and it's killing me.

No they aren't.
Plus, I have this massive craving for doughnuts, but alas. I'm all out of doughnuts *sobs* And oh yeah, did I mention I have my exams in 2 weeks and I haven't studied a thing. But then again, I'm Asian so that not something I would get TOO worried about.

But then again, if I fail
my (Asian) parents will probably disown me or something.
